Hi – I was checking out one of your videos to compare with what I am teaching, and thought to send an invite.
If you are anywhere in the US right now, you are very welcome to join us at the “GrandMasters Tour” – first time Mamady and Famoudou are together. If you have not yet met Famoudou Konate, he is special. Way beyond mere skill. He’s one who Mamady always want to learn from, but is kept at distance, though they are friends. Now together on a teaching tour. (probably you already know).
We are hosting them in Boston 1st week of May.
I join Alan Tauber, director of the DrumConnection, in hoping we could welcome you.
We can always find space for you in the workshop, as well as a place to stay.

PS – we would always enjoy a visit, anytime.
To Moderator:
Sorry – I added a comment – but thought it was going to general email
The Invite to GrandMasters Tour should have been sent personally.
If you posted it, my previous entry, and this, please forward it to Michael,
and remove it from this discussion space if it is already there.
Thanks -
John Tracy
Hi John,
I did visit his compound and studied with his son when I was living in Guinea. MY main teachers have been Bolokada Conde, Mohamed Daibe, Mohamed Camara, M’Bemba Bangoura and a few others such as Kemoko Sano where I stayed in Guinea. I am ever the eternal student! Will always be taking lessons and studying.
Nice to meet you and thanks for the invite. I am only in the USA another few weeks. I studied with Mamady before but not Famadou. Would love too!!
I will be in Maine in September and maybe I can wander down to Boston.
Thanks for posting.
Caio for now,
Michael P
