In this Djembe and Dunun drum lesson excerpt we look at the Kassa family of rhythms from Guinee, West Africa. This is the Saraya variation shown on dununsin the “down” style also known as “ballet” style. This is when you play two or more drums together so you can combine parts if there are not enough players and there are enough drummers (which is often the case).
