Last night there was an epic drum jam on Khao San Road in Bangkok, Thailand. There were drummers from all across the globe! We got permission to play right in front of the police station because “King”, the local police chief is a big fan of Eddie Tamba our Liberian master of ceremonies and djembe fola. I filmed this on my 2nd trip to West Africa. Master Djembe Drummer M’Bemba Bangoura and Jaques play at this one as well! Djembe masters and djembe drumming, too! Bolokada Conde formerly of Les Percussions Du Guinea performs with his new group, “Les Percussions Melenke in Mill Valley, California. We play 3 different Konkoba drum pieces tied together and and west african dancers come out as well in this performance by djembe master Bolokada Conde and students.
