These are simply the ways I have found to play them that may also be useful for you as well. If you have learned it or played it differently, thats great, too! My experience is that there are many different ways to play any one rhythm arrangement and or pattern or different patterns.

My hope and intention is to help us all diversify and widen our own breadth of knowledge, rhythm and increase creativity. Please also keep in mind in terms of names, most rhythm arrangements are based on the dunun parts which create the melody and bass line and not the djembe. These *(dunun patterns) are not included in this video.

Each rhythm pattern usually has a passport part (which i have shown) and often a djembe part that is unique to that specific rhythm. Please check it out and enjoy. As always, it’s much better and you can nth the bass with headphones on 🙂
