Djembe Course 09 : Professional Level Djembe Course

0 of 14 lessons complete (0%)

This course is for musicians, advanced players, and people who play a variety of styles. It features longer and more difficult compositions. You will be learning many creative, new and interesting ideas to use and incorporate into your playing be it professional, jamming or just for fun.

This might be challenging in some ways, but also very rewarding. You will still see breakdowns and step by step instruction, as well as slow speed and slow motion. The information will not be limited, and the intention is that you can use the information, techniques, rhythms, tools, and exercises in any form of traditional or non-traditional playing situation. These lessons are much longer than those in the Advanced course, and the information will be geared towards performance and performance enhancement, getting you up to speed, and even how to play at super speed. You will learn long compositions and my tricks of the trade.

You must complete the Advanced course and be proficient with the material covered there, as it will provide you with the techniques and feels necessary to play the phrasing in this course.

My goal is to boost you to the next level and help push and motivate you to go past preconceived limitations. Although much of the material might appear to be very difficult at first glance, anything can be broken down to its simplest elements, even the most complicated rhythms and solos. This is what we are going to do in this course.

The ideas contained in these lessons are simply my own ideas based on what I have been taught from so many great teachers, friends, musicians, and co-conspirators. My suggestion is to take what works for you and leave the rest. Learn this material and allow it to inspire you so you can come up with your own ideas and concepts. Creating your own versions is the next step in musicality.
